The Hallmark of Language Circle Enterprises:
Direct Concept Teaching:
We use concrete examples and multi-sensory experiences to make abstract concepts memorable and meaningful. Teaching to transfer is stressed so that these concepts and skills become automatic and functional.
Our Instructional Strategies Include:
· Giving students the “why” before teaching the skill gives the students understanding and personal investment in learning.
· Graphic Symbols and Body Language puts the focus on learning rather than memorizing.
· Stimulating multiple areas of the mind with visual, auditory, and tactile exercises to seed ideas.
· Using the “arithmetic” of language to unlock words rather than visual and auditory recall.
Modeling for Success
Our name, Language Circle Enterprises refers to our belief that direct interaction between teacher and student is key to:
· Keeping students engaged and interested in learning
· Enabling teachers to identify behaviors that signal learning problems
· Taking preventative measures in helping students to stay on track
That is why we provide instructional, staff development models:
· Model A: Off campus in-service
· Model B: On campus in-service during regular school hours
